Tom Hughes is a Principal Building Safety Consultant within Safer Sphere, playing a pivotal role in the Building Safety Team, which comprises professionals in Building Regulation, Design, and Construction Management. Together, they provide relevant guidance to all duty holders, to help compliance with their duties under The Building Safety Act and the Building Regulations. Safer Sphere focuses on delivering bespoke CDM (Construction Design and Management), Building Safety Act, and Construction Health and Safety solutions, and is committed to helping clients, consultants, designers, and contractors exceed compliance expectations and develop innovative safety management approaches. In his role, Tom is dedicated to supporting clients through all stages of design and construction, ensuring compliance with the technical and procedural requirements of the amended Building Regulations for all building types, including higher-risk buildings. He coordinates complex and demanding projects for high-profile clients, expertly managing compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022. His oversight extends to critical initiatives in various sectors, including residential and education, encompassing new builds and refurbishments throughout the UK.
