Tim French was appointed as a director of the TWf in February 2024. Tim is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 24 years’ experience in the construction industry, operating in both the UK and Australia. With a broad range of experience, but always with a strong leaning towards the successful management of Temporary Works. 

Tim is passionate about the effective management of TW, having operated as a TWC in the UK for Kier between 2004 and 2009. In 2015, upon returning to the UK from Australia, Tim took up the role of TW Advisor, supporting all Kier businesses in London, the South East and East Anglia. Over the following five years, Tim was able to nurture and upskill TWCs and other project staff, enabling them to improve both their knowledge and confidence managing TW. Tim spent from 2020 – 2024 working as an Area TW Manager for EKFB on HS2 Leading a delivery TW team.

Currently Tim is Engineering Lead for Temporary Works Management, where he has delegated responsibility from Kier’s Group Health, Safety & Wellbeing Director (Group DI for TW) and Director of Professional Services for maintenance of the Kier TW Operating Procedure and provision of the Group TW Advisory Service.
