Profoundly deaf since birth, Steve is a Director at accessibility and inclusion consultancy Direct Access. He has led accessibility consultancy programmes on several major infrastructure projects from world expositions in the Middle East to being seconded to West Coast Partnership – the future HS2 operator. Steve has also worked with historical facilities from the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) to several national museums including the Royal Armouries, V&A, the Science Museum Group and others.

Steve was a Disability Power 100 list member recognising the most influential disabled people in the UK.

Steve is a part-time PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow exploring accessibility in the public realm for Deaf or blind people and also sits on the Global Leadership Council for the IAAP – certifying accessibility specialists globally.
