Roumpini is an urban designer and masterplanner specialising in strategic placemaking and the design assessment of the built environment. Since joining PRP in 2014, she has worked on a diverse array of projects, gaining extensive experience in masterplanning and urban design. Her work has particularly focused on strategic visioning and urban regeneration schemes.
Roumpini has been leading on numerous projects, from feasibility studies, masterplan visions and options appraisals to outline planning applications, design codes and in the development of stakeholder, community engagement strategies. Her interest and area of expertise is placemaking and she is committed to implementing placemaking strategies that deliver inclusive and intergenerational masterplans.
Her experience covers the development of comprehensive proposals for regeneration projects in the UK, where her knowledge in urban design and placemaking gives her a truly wide-ranging understanding of the process of design development to ensure all projects are future-proofed and deliverable.
Roumpini has a passion for academic research, she is currently a PhD candidate investigating models of future smart resilient cities via sensory mapping and is contributing to conferences, and presenting papers in relation to the social, economic and environmental benefits of public spaces.
