Robert Buckley
Rob is Buro Happold's UK Building Environments Sustainable Design Director with over 25 years at the forefront of sustainable design. Rob has brought smart innovative, climate responsive design solutions to the built environment, encouraging design teams to think holistically about all facets of design, from building high-performance to circular economies and social value. Rob’s confidence to push the boundaries has been built through a career at leading sustainable design practices including Battle McCarthy, Atelier Ten and Arup, on high profile projects spanning the globe from Detroit to Melbourne, and Singapore to Kuwait, with internationally celebrated architects. Rob’s career has taken him to New York, Los Angeles, Melbourne and San Francisco. In San Francisco Rob was the AIA 2030 commitment Taskforce Leader driving the architectural Carbon Neutral agenda. In London he was the Co-Chair of the UKGBC Net Zero Whole Life Carbon Roadmap Taskforce Group working towards COP26.
