Michael is the Head of Development Management for the London Borough of Lewisham where he leads the Local Planning Authority. His role is to ensure the efficient review of thousands of pre-applications, planning applications, planning committees per year and proactive planning enforcement which deliver successful place-making that improves the lives of the borough’s residents, workforce and visitors. Michael has overseen high quality development that promotes Lewisham as a successful place to do business and invest.

He is the co-chair of Lewisham Council’s LGBTQ+ Staff Forum leading on equality and diversity issues.

Michael is also a Tall Buildings Expert Panel member for New London Architecture contributing to shape the New London Agenda.
