Matthew J. Normandeau is a Principal at Simpson Gumpertz &  Heger (SGH) and has nearly 20 years of experience at SGH. He brings his extensive experience, ingenuity, and forward-thinking to each building enclosure design and rehabilitation project. Mr. Normandeau leads multi-disciplinary design teams on projects with extensive rehabilitation scope, including replacement of building enclosure systems and recladding buildings that remain occupied during construction. His experience includes design, investigation, rehabilitation of building enclosure systems for both new and existing buildings. Matt has published papers on various topics related to building enclosure technology, including vegetative roofing and energy performance, high-performance building enclosure systems, roofing failures, and below-grade waterproofing, has lectured at local and national conferences, and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Matt is also task group chair and technical contact for the ASTM International E06.55 standard guide for building enclosure commissioning.
