Kirils Holstovs
Kirils Holstovs is a Civil & Structural Engineer at AECOM working in transport infrastructure asset management and decarbonisation. He also served as a sustainability & net zero project coordinator and stakeholder engagement coordinator for an internationally significant mega-event.
Kirils volunteers as the Climate Change Lead of the North East Regional Committee of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Co-Lead of the WFEO YE/FL Working Group on Climate Action which elevates the voice of engineers in decision-making and develops climate policy initiatives, capacity-building events and partnerships to advance climate action and sustainable development. He took part in UNFCCC COP26, COP27 and COP28 as a negotiations observer, speaker and side events organiser.
Kirils was named the UK Constructing Excellence National Future Leader 2022 and has won the New Civil Engineer 2021 Outstanding Contribution to Carbon Net Zero Award, as well as the inaugural Sustainability Champion award at the prestigious Robert Stephenson Awards in 2024.
