Julie is an Arup Director and Leader of Complex Projects. She is Vice President of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) from November 2023 to be President of the ICE in 2026. She Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Project Management, and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. In 2020 she was made A Freeman of the City of London. Julie is a Non-Executive Director sitting on the Trustee Board of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)where she is the Chair of the Finance, Assurance and Risk Committee. In 2021 she was recognised as one of the top 50 Women in industry. Julie is a Civil Engineer by background starting out as an apprentice in the Northeast of England. Julie has worked in a number of parts of Arup and was the Global Leader of Programme and Project Management for 9 years- where she diversified and grew the group tripling it in size over 3 years and introducing new skills, services and expanded the client base and leading the team to Project Management Company of the Year.
