Chartered Security Professional with 23 years’ experience in the industry, OSPA Outstanding Security Consultant Award winner 2023, 5 x security awards finalist and Mental Health Advocate.

A bit about me:

After leaving school I became a National Hunt Jockey and secured my place on the family tree of the “Eddery Jockeys”.

After 70+ rides I thought I would do something less dangerous, so I joined the police.

Spent 9 years with TVP in many departments including Method and Special Tactics, pro-active Burglary team and as a Method of Entry officer (Forcing entry under warrant)

Continued in Security ever since and have worked at Oxford University and for the Government.

Branched into retail as a Regional Loss Prevention Manager and then secured a role with TJX Europe as a European Technical Specialist.

Became a Technical Director for a security consultancy dealing in Maritime and Superyacht technology.

Now at AtkinsRealis as an Associate Consultant, and part of a team of inspiring individuals, I provide security consultancy + design reviews predominantly within the built environment specialising in ASIAD guidance.

A keen advocate for Mental Health, using exercise and the gym to inspire, educate and encourage honest conversations amongst men.
