Hayley Coe joined construction company Willmott Dixon in 2018 as a Knowledge Manager, responsible for sourcing evidence for their national work-winning team. As time went on, her library of information grew exponentially and the team maintained a 100% win rate on all national frameworks. Willmott Dixon’s regional work-winning teams began to see the value in her collection and she increasingly became the ‘go-to’ person for stats, case studies and collateral.
Realising the potential to massively improve the efficiency, accuracy and quality of Willmott Dixon’s work-winning efforts across the country, Hayley worked with Tribus Digital to design, develop and deliver a digital library. The Knowledge Hub – as it became known – was a labour of love. With easily searchable quantitative and qualitative information, teams can quickly find information about topics that are important to customers.
Hayley is now Willmott Dixon’s Head of Knowledge, with a team responsible for capturing and updating information from across the business (some of which has existed, until now, solely in people’s heads). The Knowledge Hub – a comprehensive database which details Willmott Dixon’s approach to a range of topics including energy performance, quality and social value – is helping the business win more work, while reducing the amount of time regional work-winning teams spend sourcing information by up to 80%.
Naturally curious and passionate about finding solutions that make people’s lives easier, Hayley is now investigating how incorporating the latest AI tools into the Knowledge Hub can remove some of the routine work from bidding, giving teams more time for innovation to drive work-winning excellence.
