My name is Hannah and I am currently doing a Project Management Graduate Scheme. My background originally was Quantity Surveying where I graduated from The University of Reading, with a degree in BSC Quantity Surveying. During my time at university I undertook work experience to get a stronger feel for the industry and then I went on to work in that field after graduaing. After deciding I wanted to explore a different field of the Construction industry, I decided to go for Project Management. Working in Project Management is extremely rewarding, however it is easy to feel alone and even overwhelmed at times in an industry that is still predominantly male dominated. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be a mental health ambassador for London Build, to help build a platform where individuals feel they can talk openly without fear of judgement. 

Statement:

"I believe it is important to build a supportive and open culture around mental health to let people know they can speak up and be open about their feelings. This can be achieved by letting people know the support is available. "
