Gill is an experienced project professional who has delivered complex and complicated projects and programmes, including new product development and business expansion. She has a background in careers advice and teaching and has a wealth of experience in designing and developing assessments, standards, regulations, competence frameworks and qualifications as well as advising on competence and competence development.

Gill’s current role is as Head of Technical Content for the Association for Project Management (APM), the only chartered membership organisation for the project profession in the world. Gill is also a Fellow of APM.

Over her 20+ years’ experience, Gill has led many education projects including the design and launch of national programmes. Gill has designed and developed competence frameworks, the APM Chartered Standard, project management apprenticeships, international qualification regulations, national and international qualifications, as well as career development modules. For the last 2 years Gill has been heavily involved with the development of competence following the Grenfell Tower disaster. Gill currently chairs Sector Led Group 7 focussing on competence requirements for project managers, and was the lead author of the competence framework for project managers in the built environment. Gill is also the Vice Chair of the Industry Competence Steering Group, a standing working group of the Industry Competence Committee.
