Emma is the digital construction/BIM lead for Wates Construction’s Northern Home Counties business, responsible for the development and implementation of BIM and digital construction across the region since 2017. She is also a core member of the Wates Digital Construction and Engineering Team, developing group-wide strategy, procedures and protocols and sharing lessons learnt and best practice across the wider business. Emma has over 17 years’ top tier main contractor experience, working in both buildings and infrastructure. Her AECO career began in CAD and Architectural design and developed into a career in BIM and digital construction, where her passion lies. This passion has led Emma to volunteer at industry organisations such as the UK BIM Alliance (now nima), where she was part of the leadership team for BIM Regions East for many years, and she now holds the role of Vice Chair at COMIT.
