Dewi, an accomplished architect with over 20 years of experience, is dedicated to merging sustainability and technology in the construction sector. His extensive background includes working internationally on projects of various scales, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of architectural practice. Committed to environmental sustainability, he earned a master’s in environmental design engineering from UCL in 2022, focusing on the embodied carbon performance gap.

At Hawkins\Brown, Dewi contributes to many practice initiatives including practice wide CPDs, developing best practice methodologies and templates and supporting early-stage sustainability strategies on projects. As Chief Product Officer at VERT, Dewi leads the development of their new Whole Life Carbon tool, seamlessly connecting architectural design with low-carbon solutions and actively championing the transformative power of technology to reduce carbon emissions.

Dewi contributed to the RICS Whole Life Carbon professional Standard V2, coordinates of the Heads of Sustainability group – a network of over 100 architectural practices - and actively participated in the UKGBC Embodied Carbon Task group. Additionally, he served as sustainability specialist judge for the 2024 RIBA regional awards, has developed sustainable CPD content for the RIBA and is a regular mentor for the Future Leaders program.
