Dennis Davis CBE, QFSM, MPhil, CEng, FIFireE (Life)

Dennis is Competency Director at the Fire Sector Federation, following 5 years as the FSF Executive Officer. An independent fire adviser since 2004 his previous career was in the fire and rescue service, where he became Chief Fire Officer of Cheshire and HM Chief Inspector for Scotland. His roles have included presidency of Institution of Fire Engineers and the Fire Chiefs nationally. Current involvements are as a member of the BSR Industry Competency Committee and the BSi CPB/1 Competence in the Built Environment Committee and as convener of BS 8674 Framework for individual fire risk assessors.
