An architect by training, David worked in the public sector before joining Jacobs in 2004.  He has worked on a diverse range of projects including education, transit, leisure, offices and healthcare in the UK and Europe. He is currently Lead Technologist for Cities and Places.

David championed the early adoption of BIM on complex project like the redevelopment of Blackfriars station in 2010. This £600m investment put a new mainline station on an existing bridge over the River Thames as well as reconfiguring the London Underground station, all whilst keeping the network operational.

More recently he has been involved in the design and delivery of major projects in the Middle East.  The scale and schedule of these giga-projects has required a rethinking of how designs are created and how the construction process is delivered.
