Chiemeka is a registered architect with over 17 years of experience. She gained Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Princeton University in 2003. She was the recipient of the Adele de Leeuw Scholarship for Artistic Merit while she was at Princeton. After graduating, Chiemeka continued her education at Yale University, gained a MA in Architecture in 2007.

Cheimeka founded her own practice Fibre Lifestyle Technologies in 2014. The practice provided tech-driven services that provides flexible living options for young professionals across Lagos. Chiemeka also worked with C.F. Møller Architects for 9 years, her diverse portfolio has been built in parallel with exceptional management and technical skills.

At Adjaye Associates, Chiemeka is currently working on an education project in Middle East. She also worked on The Africa Institute in Sharjah, which contains teaching, learning, administration, and front-of-house spaces
