Arij is a structural designer specialising in high-end residential and basement projects across London, as well as commercial fit-outs including the On Running store in East London. With degrees in Civil & Structural Engineering and a background in sustainable construction, her commitment to combining technical expertise with conscientious design continues to define her work. In 2022, Arij was appointed the Sustainability Lead at Jensen Hunt Design and spearheaded the development of Impact//Duty, the first internal sustainability strategy at the company. Alongside overseeing its implementation within the team, Arij has looked at how it can set precedent for other structural engineering SMEs within the industry and provide a driving force to fight the climate problem. Outside of her day-to-day role, Arij is working towards addressing the global refugee crisis head-on through structural precedent, new technology and integrated structural design.
