A key contributor to the practice’s work in urbanism, Antje has played an important role in large mixed use and housing-led masterplans including the Olympic Legacy Masterplan as well as several estate regeneration projects. She co-leads the Masterplanning Group and provides ongoing client support for the King’s Cross Masterplan.
Antje has been working on the regeneration of Fosters Estate in Hendon, a co-design masterplan currently on site that explores ways of providing much-needed additional affordable homes within an existing estate, creating design proposals in close collaboration with, rather than for, the local community. Her estate regeneration experience ranges in scale, from the 16.5-hectare Gascoigne Estate in Barking to small-scale infill projects such as Fairbanks Road in Tottenham Hale.
More recently, Antje led the regeneration of Uplands Business Park in Waltham Forest, a masterplan co-locating innovative industrial typologies with up to 1,800 homes while introducing a new waterfront park. Building on her experience designing along Agent of Change principles, she also led the masterplan for Knights Road in West Silvertown which provides 1,400 new homes as well as workspaces and a stacked industrial building by linking Royal Wharf with existing industrial sites and working wharfs.
From Germany, she completed her masters in Housing and Urbanism at the Architecture Association and studied at the University of Stuttgart and Berlin University of the Arts. She is a panel member for the Kensington and Chelsea Quality Review Panel and the Waltham Forest Design Review Panel, and has been invited to several universities and institutions as a lecturer and external critic, including Westminster University, University of East London, Loughborough University and the Architectural Association School of Architecture.
