Developed by The Cross-industry Action Group, the Climate Framework Initiative unites the built environment sector and academia to collectively build capacity, and upskill for climate action. Its shared curriculum framework draws on deep industry knowledge, leverages the best academic research, cross-pollinates experiences and expertise across the global construction industry and academia.
Underpinned by the vision and the mission of the UN 2030 Agenda, the Framework contextualises the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 for the built environment under six overarching topics of Human Factors, Circular Economy, Energy + Carbon, Water, Ecology + Biodiversity and Connectivity + Transport. With its open-source library of curated resources, it creates a shared knowledge pool, and enables all the built environment value chain actors to easily navigate through some of the most valuable resources (on the Framework’s topics) which are too often lost in the complex landscape and plethora of climate change and sustainability-focused content.
